Transgender women are faced with more challenges than other people, esppecially when it comes to work. For those that "pass", they can excel in retail and other professions -- beauty, corporate, and entrepreneurship. But for those that don't pass, or are in countries where opportunities are fleeting, it can be a struggle just to survive.
Many have found success in enterttainement, such as Lavern Cox, Janet Mock, Jamie Clayton (Sense8 which was a great series), Indya Moore, and Elliot Page, (Oscar-nominated with Juno) to name a few. Others have risen to fame in politics,
But an unexpected opportunity for the poor in Colombia, coffee picker is not somthing that would come to mind as a job for them. But many have found sanctuary on a coffee plantation.
