Transgender Women FInd Work in Unexpected Places


Transgender women are faced with more challenges than other people, esppecially when it comes to work. For those that "pass", they can excel in retail and other professions -- beauty, corporate, and entrepreneurship.  But for those that don't pass, or are in countries where opportunities are fleeting, it can be a struggle just to survive. 

Many have found success in enterttainement, such as Lavern Cox, Janet Mock, Jamie Clayton (Sense8 which was a great series), Indya Moore, and Elliot Page, (Oscar-nominated with Juno) to name a few. Others have risen to fame in politics

But an unexpected opportunity for the poor in Colombia, coffee picker is not somthing that would come to mind as a job for them. But many have found sanctuary on a coffee plantation
